What the generator gives you
One click produces a complete League of Legends build, rolled at random from all 173 champions on patch 16.17.1:
- A champion — any of the 173, with no weighting toward the meta.
- A full item set — a starting item, boots where the champion can buy them, and legendary items to finish.
- A rune page — a keystone, its supporting runes and a secondary tree, plus stat shards.
- Two summoner spells — drawn from the ones the map you picked actually offers.
- One ability to max — the one you commit to first, whether or not it makes sense.
Every build is one you can buy
Random does not mean impossible. Before a build is shown, it is checked against the constraints the shop itself enforces — how many items of a group you may own, which items are melee-only or ranged-only, items locked to one champion, items that require a particular summoner spell, and which items exist at all on the map you chose. Every one of those rules is read from Riot's published data rather than guessed, so a build that appears is a build you can assemble in game.
Maps
Five lanes, so the generator assigns you a role along with the build. Starts you with 500 gold, and stocks its own item pool.
A single lane, so no role is assigned — the mode is the label instead. Starts you with 1400 gold, and stocks its own item pool.
Or start from a champion
Every champion has a page with a ready-made random build you can re-roll, or browse all 173.
Generator FAQ
Is the build actually random?
Yes. Champion, items, runes and summoner spells are all drawn from a seeded random generator, with no weighting toward meta picks. The same seed always produces the same build, which is why a build's link can be shared and will show your friend exactly what it showed you.
Can I actually buy the items it gives me?
Yes. Every purchase constraint the shop enforces is checked against Riot's own data before a build is shown — item group limits, melee-only and ranged-only gates, champion-locked items, items that need a specific summoner spell, and which items exist on the map you picked. If a build appears, it is one you can buy in game.
What is the difference between Summoner's Rift and ARAM?
The item pool and the starting gold. ARAM is a single lane, so no role is assigned there, and its shop stocks a different set of items. Picking the map before you generate means the build you get is legal on the map you are actually queueing for.
Can I generate a build for one specific champion?
Yes. Every champion page has its own ready-made build, and the generator on the build page has a champion search that locks your pick before rolling everything else.
